What is PUTHAT 2016 ?

Panjab University Tourism and Hospitality Aptitude Test (PUTHAT) is an entrance test to admission into Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) and Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management (BTTM) Regular courses under the university. The admission to both the above courses will be on the basis of the Merit of Panjab University Tourism and Hospitality Aptitude Test (PUTHAT) to be conducted by Panjab University.

What is Eligibility Criteria for PUTHAT 2016?

The candidates who qualified 12th examination from Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi or its correspondent education organized by a recognized Board or University or Council with minimum of 50% marks in the total and English as one of the important Subjects, are eligible to apply for PUTHAT 2016

PUTHAT application fee :

1. For General Category: Rs. 880/-
2. SC/ ST Category: Rs. 440/-

PUTHAT 2016 Application Procedure

• The eligible candidates who wish to apply may apply through online from Website : http://puthat.puchd.ac.in on or before last date.

The number of seats offered by the UIHTM is as follows:

PUTHAT 2016 Examination pattern

• The exam for PUTHAT will comprise of 100 questions of one mark each.
• Total time allocated to the paper will be 1:30 hours (90 minutes)
• The PUTHAT 2016 exam will be conduct in English language only
• There shall be negative marking i.e., 25% marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

The distribution of marks for the respective components of testing would be asunder :

• The merit list of candidates appearing for PUTHAT shall be prepared on the basis of marks secured in the PUTHAT only
